momentchen
Momentchen is a child who longs to grow up. Then he would certainly never be bored again! One day he meets a mysterious, prehistoric creature. With his help, Momentchen learns to speed up and slow down time. When he is bored, Momentchen fast-forwards his life. He skips the math test, runs like a cheetah and sees trees grow in a matter of seconds. Conversely, he can make its surroundings run in slow motion. Then the traffic moves at a snail’s pace and the break lasts longer than the school lesson. But eventually Momentchen realizes that he is missing out on more and more because of its interventions. Will he be able to return to the present?
The story of Momentchen is told in the form of a live animated film. The audience looks behind the scenes of a film studio and sees the performers literally slip into their characters. The play with different realities creates the world of Momentchen on stage and in the film before our eyes. The performance tells of the mysteries of time, of time-eating machines and of how we ourselves tick.
