ex-helena

ex-helena is the making of of a drama. Three performers attempt to bring the mythological figure of Helena to the stage. In doing so, they shed light on the relationship between reality and myth in a feminist and contemporary way. Video art meets musical, ancient tragedy meets performance. But the personal dramas of the performers constantly interfere with the plot. Finally, the stage media also conspire against them: screen, light and sound insist on their own view of things. The surreal play with the possibilities of the theater brings the unconscious and the repressed to light.
